Breeze Airways Pet Policy 2026: The $75 Fee, 25 lb Limit and Seat Rules

Last verified against Breeze's official policy: October 11, 2026

Breeze takes small cats and dogs in the cabin on domestic flights for $75 per one-way trip, with a firm 25-pound limit including the carrier and only five pets per flight. Most of the friction is around seats and check-in: no pets in Breeze Ascent or exit rows, and everyone on a pet reservation checks in at the ticket counter. Everything below is checked against Breeze's official pet policy.

Service Dogs and Emotional Support Animals

Trained service dogs fly free and aren't counted as pets; Breeze asks for the DOT service animal form in advance. Since January 11, 2021, former emotional support animals must meet service animal requirements or fly as pets. Service animals in training also fly as pets.

Breeze is the second-cheapest after Allegiant, and the only one of the four with a published weight cap. Its carrier is also the narrowest at 8 inches wide, so measure before you buy.

Breeze Pet Policy FAQ

How much does Breeze charge to fly a pet?

Breeze charges $75 per one-way trip for a cat or dog in the cabin, so a round trip costs $150. The charge is non-refundable, but you can remove the pet up to 24 hours before departure and get a Flight Credit.

What is the weight limit for pets on Breeze?

25 pounds, including the carrier. Only one pet is allowed per carrier, even if two small pets together would weigh less than 25 pounds.

What size pet carrier does Breeze allow?

The carrier must be soft-sided and smaller than 17 x 8 x 13 inches (length x width x height) to fit under Extra Legroom and Standard Legroom seats. Some carriers need to go on their side. Breeze does not sell or supply carriers.

Does the pet carrier count as my personal item on Breeze?

Yes. On Breeze, your soft-sided pet carrier is your personal item and must fit under the seat in front of you. Pet strollers can be checked at the gate only if you add them as a checked bag first, with checked bag fees.

How many pets can fly on a Breeze flight?

Up to five pets per flight and one pet per Guest, first come, first served. If you can still add a pet in the booking flow or on the My Trips page, there is space on that flight.

Can I sit in Breeze Ascent with my pet?

No. Pet carriers don't fit under Breeze Ascent seats or in the row directly behind Ascent, and pets aren't allowed in bulkhead seats or exit rows. If anyone on your reservation sits in Ascent or an exit row, you can't add a pet to that reservation.

Does Breeze allow pets on international flights?

No. Breeze accepts pets on domestic flights only. Pets need to stay home when you travel internationally on Breeze, and Breeze does not accept pets as checked baggage.
